Swiss baritone Äneas Humm, winner of the OPUS KLASSIK 2022, is active internationally in opera, concert and Lied.
Recent highlights include engagements at Teatro la Fenice (Heerrufer in Lohengrin), Opera Roma (Papageno), Gran Teatro del Liceu (Agrippa in Antony and Cleopatra). In 2025 Mr. Humm sang the Italian Premiere of Benjamin Brittens opera Owen Wingrave at Festival Valle d´Itria, winning a Primo Abbiati.
He has performed with leading orchestras such as the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen, Musikkollegium Winterthur or de Radio Sinfonie Orkest at Amesterdam´s Concertgebouw, and has appeared in major concert venues and festivals including Switzerland´s Lucerne Festival, Hamburgs Elbphilharmonie, Heidelberger Frühling, Enescu Festival or at Beethoven- Haus Bonn.
A dedicated recital artist, Äneas Humm has given concerts at Weill Recital at Carnegie, at Alice Tully Hall in New York as well at major European Festivals. In his early career he already recorded four solo CD´s, all of them getting international recognition by magazines like Der Spiegel, BR Klassik or Fonoforum.
He studied at the Juilliard School with Edith Wiens and at Hochschule für Künste Bremen with Krisztina Laki and Thomas Mohr and was a member of the ensembles at Theater St. Gallen, Badisches Staatstheater and Deutsches Nationaltheater Weimar. Future debuts include Beethovens 9th Symphony with Bamberger Symphoniker.
Äneas Humm is based in Berlin where he is the producer of KLASSIK DOPPIO, a podcast focusing about music and the arts.
